Siddhartha School Upgrades

Shanta has been working hard on upgrading Siddhartha School along with The Mandala Organisation Team and here is her report:

SHANTA‘S UPDATE 1

Namaste everyone,
From last few days, we were continuously working for our next school, Siddhartha Basic school in Shermathang, Sindhupalchowk. Shermathang Village is itself in a remote area, badly affected by Earthquake, still living in a small shelter and poverty.
We are trying to do our best to this community and the children so that they can go to school. It was a bit difficult to manage, set up and get all the materials in a remote area but we have made it.
we would like to share some of the photos of our school and classroom. Children, teachers, and parents were very happy after the classroom set up. They were singing and dancing.

SHANTA‘S UPDATE 2

We are happy to share this news that our second school, Siddhartha Basic School, Shermathang, Sindhupalchwok is all updated and looking great now. Head teacher Sita Shrestha is very excited with all updated class rooms, Office rooms, new buildings and new Toilets wiith running water system.
Toilets are being under construction which is supported by OXFARM International.

Siddhartha School is twinned with Auchnagatt School in Scotland. All the children, teachers and parents have been amazing at fund raising. Both schools have about 40 pupils of similar ages. This year our goal is to provide computers and get WiFi so the communication between the two schools can start to happen.

THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED!
